“Le Photometre Normal” 1903 By E. Degen, Paris, France Extinction type meter using two movable variable density wedges.
One is set to the diaphragm to be used, the second wedge is then moved till it is no longer transparent,
when the shutter speed and aperture can be read against the plate speed.
Degen was established in 1865.
Good condition, showing some signs of wear.
Suede pouch is a tight fit due to shrinkage with age.
Requires good lighting conditions to facilitate use.
