Very clean example of the classic ELJY by the highly important French manufacturer Lumière.
This is a "Phase 2", though I don't know enough to say which model or version.
The first phase Eljy was smaller and all black, circa 1937.
This one dates from between about 1939 and 1949.
The third phase was called the CLUB, and had a flat top-plate integrating the viewfinder and an extinction meter. It came on the market around 1951.
